About Me

A prize-winning graduate of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and pursuing her Masters degree at the University of Birmingham UK, Zoe provides comprehensive piano instruction for beginning to advanced levels for ages 7 to adult.

Student testimonial: “Zoe’s not only a teacher, she is a phenomenal, multi-talented artist and composer with extensive knowledge. Zoe’s teaching style is patient and encouraging. Every lesson feels purposeful and motivating. I cannot recommend her highly enough! She’s truly an inspiration and has ignited my love for music and determination to succeed.” – Deanna, Hartford, CT

Mother’s testimonial: “My 7 year old daughter and 11 year old son have been learning piano with Zoe for a little bit more than a year. Zoe is an excellent piano teacher and very patient. She cares for her students. The kids really enjoy learning piano with her. She makes learning piano fun and interesting. She adapts teaching methodology accordingly by children’s age. For 7 year olds she plays games and uses stickers as rewards to give her a sense of accomplishment. And for 11 years old she gives him some extra homework to explore and research music related subjects. Friendly and professional, Zoe also sets high exceptions for her students. I can tell the kids progress steadily and build up confidence gradually. I would highly recommend Zoe to anyone who is looking for a piano teacher.” – Li, Chappaqua, NY

Zoe encourages students to try new things and expand their musical horizons! She supports students enrolled in NYSSMA, MTNA, and the ABRSM programs. Zoe also teaches singing and harp. She has taught at the Hartt School and Wesleyan University, and has given masterclasses and presentations in Connecticut, New York City, and California.

A recording artist, Zoe performs professionally as a pianist, singer, harpist, and composer. She is on the Roster of the CT Commission on Culture and Tourism, has won numerous prizes and scholarships, and has been a recipient of the CT Office of the Arts Grant, MTNA Foundation Grant, Hartt School Faculty Development Fund, and others. She has given performances at the International Festival de Deia Spain, Rio International Harp Festival Brazil, Glasgow International Early Music Festival, American Harp Society, Bloomington Early Music Festival, among others.
