Sophia L. ✓

Sophia earned her Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from Northwestern University, her Master of Music from the Peabody Conservatory, and her Doctor of Musical Arts from the University of Miami, where she studied on a full teaching-assistant scholarship. She has taught private and group piano lessons to students of all ages and levels, from complete beginners to advanced pianists.

In her lessons, Sophia builds each student’s foundation in technique, theory, sight-reading, and musical style, giving them the tools to express music beyond the notes on the page. She sees students as active participants in their own progress and encourages them to think critically about the musical choices they make. Lessons are tailored to each student’s goals and pace, creating a space where students feel both challenged and supported.
