Teacher Agreement

This Teacher Agreement governs the relationship between teachers (“Teachers”) and Online Piano Lessons (the “Platform”). By registering as a teacher or providing lessons through the Platform, you agree to comply with the terms described in this agreement.

1. Eligibility

Teachers must be at least 18 years old and legally able to provide instructional services. Teachers are responsible for ensuring that all information provided to the Platform is accurate and up to date.

2. Teacher Responsibilities

Teachers agree to provide high-quality instruction in a professional, respectful, and reliable manner. Teachers are expected to:

  • Prepare appropriately for lessons
  • Communicate respectfully with students and parents
  • Conduct lessons professionally
  • Maintain a safe and positive learning environment

Teachers must also comply with the Platform’s Terms of Service, Code of Conduct, and all applicable policies.

3. Platform Use and Student Relationships

Teachers agree to conduct all lessons, communications, and transactions with students through the Platform. Teachers may not solicit, accept, or encourage students or parents to arrange lessons or payments outside of the Platform.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Sharing personal contact information for the purpose of conducting lessons outside the Platform
  • Accepting direct payments from students introduced through the Platform
  • Redirecting students to external scheduling or payment systems

This policy helps ensure a consistent, secure, and high-quality experience for all users.

4. Teacher Profiles

Teachers may have a profile on the Platform that includes information such as their biography, education, and teaching experience. Teachers are responsible for ensuring that all profile information is truthful, accurate, and not misleading.

5. Scheduling and Availability

Teachers are responsible for maintaining accurate availability in the Platform’s scheduling system. Teachers must honor scheduled lessons and promptly notify the Platform if a cancellation or change becomes necessary, so that students can be informed.

6. Professional Conduct

Teachers are expected to behave professionally at all times when interacting with students, parents, and Platform staff. Harassment, discrimination, abusive behavior, or any other inappropriate conduct is strictly prohibited.

7. Independent Contractor Status

Teachers provide services on the Platform as independent contractors and are responsible for their own taxes, insurance, and any other legal obligations related to the services they provide.

8. Payments

Teachers will receive payment for lessons provided through the Platform in accordance with the Platform’s payment structure. Payment processing and schedules may be managed by the Platform or its payment processing partners.

9. Compliance with Laws

Teachers are responsible for complying with all applicable laws and regulations related to the services they provide, including professional and tax requirements.

10. Suspension or Termination

The Platform reserves the right to suspend or terminate a teacher’s access if the teacher violates this Agreement, the Terms of Service, the Code of Conduct, or any other applicable policies.

11. Changes to this Agreement

The Platform may update this Teacher Agreement from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after such changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Agreement.
